Cruises & Sightseeing

The Bay of Plenty is situated on the East coast of New Zealand and is at the edge of the Pacific Ocean. This is a temperate water zone with temperatures reaching 22 degrees celcius during the summer months, when large pelagic fish visit the bay.

We encounter an abundance of marine life during our cruises, with sea birds such as gannet, penguin, shearwater, petrel, tern and the occassional albatross. On a lucky day we may even sight dolphin, orca and whales.

Cruise options include leisurely three - four hour trips around Tauranga harbour and half day coastal cruises right up to a full day journey to enjoy the peace and tranquility of Mayor Island, relax aboard, have a swim and snorkel or try your hand at kayaking around the shoreline and bays.

We regret to advise that landing on Mayor Island is not permitted at this time (December 2008, until further notice). We will update this page again should the situation change.

Weekday Evening Harbour Cruise Specials
We can accomodate up to 30 passengers aboard Enterprise for a leisurely three - four hour evening harbour cruise from $825 - that's less than $30 /head! Pick up / drop off from The Strand in central Tauranga and/or Salisbury Wharf, Mount Maunganui. Bring your own food and drinks.

Complimentary hot and cold drinks are offered on all trips.

Additional catering options are available on request - from a simple sausage sizzle through to a buffet style on-board BBQ.
